This beautful  decoration has been tatted by my mum :-)
 
Tatting is a dying art but one that my mum still practices. It involves the tying of knots and loops using thread wrapped around a shuttle (which is eye-shaped). This item took several hours over several days and can be used as a decoration, hung up on a shelf or wall at home. It can also be used as a bookmark and a keyring. 
 
The motif is approximately 16cm long and 3cm wide. It is a slightly dark yellow, nearly mustard coloured.
