This beautful hanging decoration has been tatted by my mum :-)
 
Tatting is a dying art but one that my mum still practices. It involves the tying of knots and loops using thread wrapped around a shuttle (which is eye-shaped). This item took several hours to make and would be an ideal gift.  It can be used as a decoration, hung up on a shelf or wall at home, as a bookmark or a keyring. 
 
The motif is approximately 5cm long (excluding the tassel) and about 5cm wide at its widest point. It has been made with two different shades of pale green, and including the tassel it is 9cm long.
