What do you all think of Instagram? I'm still trying to figure it out, truth be told. There are a lot of crochet/arts/crafts account that I follow. A lot of people with a lot of talent and skill.
But.. To establish a presence on there (or anywhere online) is really quite time consuming! I don't know how people do it. A while ago I mentioned this to a couple of friends and both replied (on separate occasions) that it's not uncommon to "buy" followers. I don't know why this surprised me, as surely this is just a well-known fact and marketing tactic.
Well, the other week I received a message via Insta, from a company saying that for £10 I could have over 1,000 "organic" followers. I don't want to give these people any of my money, who the heck are they?! Also they wrote it "10£" which is enough to put anyone off, surely.
I did, however, spot an account I follow mysteriously go from a handful of followers to approx 1,500 within the space of a few days, and wondered if he/she had paid for followers. I noted that account follows over 7,000 people (7,000! That must be days worth of tapping and clicking!) and guess what... My account isn't one of them haha! How rude 😭😉
