Can we all take a moment to marvel at the ticker tape on the desktop version of my homepage header? đ¤*** For some reason it keeps making me laugh. This is by far one of my highlights of this website and guess what? It isn't even a feature offered by Wix! They do, however, provide a HTML code/instruction (I don't know what HTML is either) that I copied and pasted and it actually worked! #skills đđ
Here they are! The rose brooches. There are 25 available in total. I have no clue if these are going to sell or not. Paid advertising is on my list of things to do, but as I'm here for the long haul I'm really in no rush. It takes me time to mull things over and think about potential next steps before acting on anything.
These last few days have been spent crocheting and finalizing the rose brooches, cutting the small cards and stamping them with a 'LiuLingLing' stamp (in traditional, as opposed to simplified, Chinese characters) I bought in China some years ago. I have also started a couple of new items, but often these end up being samples or swatches I crochet for practice and to see what they turn out like. Below are small leaves from Caitlin Sainio's excellent book '75 Exquisite Trims in Thread Crochet'.
Some time ago I purchased (with help from my ebay enthusiast sister) the crochet threads below:
It was a fabulous bargain, as this thread is unused and in mint condition, in the original, undamaged packaging. Coats has long been discontinued in the UK, I think it's now manufactured, or at least sold, in the USA. I'm trying to think of something I can make using all of this lovely thread. For the time being, I am crocheting another mesh background for my next piece of artwork, which I'm *hoping* will include filling in some of the squares with beads (of course!), outlining some kind of design.
