Getting the hang of it...

I think I *finally* understand how this website works. When I set it up in March I automatically went along with the (excellent) checklists provided for my pages, for example, being searchable on Google, creating a tag line etc. At the time I had no clue what I was adding to where, as I was still getting to know the basics - how to add and delete pages, how to add products and photos.

But now! I have been able to go back through the checklist and understand exactly what each item means. I have spotted things that don't work so well and wording that should be changed. I have an extensive list of my own of amendments I need to make to each page. There's a lot of work to do.

In the crafting world today, I crocheted a swatch of filet mesh using 1 strand out of a skein of embroidery thread. A skein typically contains 6 strands. This embroidery thread is of a rougher and thicker texture than the usual standard cotton ones and so easier to untwist the strands from each other.

It was a real bargain from John Lewis last summer - only 20p! I think they missed a trick there, I bought about £18.00 worth (I knew they'd come in handy) and still have lots left. I used a 0.75mm crochet hook. This swatch alone took me about 4 hours.
