I name this blog post like so because I had a rather gruesome blister on my hand the other day... Caused by painting the walls (friction between hand and roller, I think) and then exacerbated by crocheting afterwards (bad move).
Sorry I couldn't resist! Besides there must be some other Dr Pimple Popper fans reading this.. 👀
Work on the white net curtain continues, and I ordered some more white thread from Regent Home of Sewing, based in Ilford. I'm really happy they sell online as it means I can still support them (and it's a fabulous fabric and sewing machine shop) despite no longer being in the locality.
Whilst waiting for the white crochet thread, I started on another filet mesh piece in the light peach colour. This I'm hoping will be the background to a piece of art that I intend to put in the upstairs hallway... There is a nice space of white wall that seems made for some colour and art 🎨
