It's been a few months since the last blog post and there have been peaks and troughs in this lil creative creative world of mine. The peaks must surely include the snowflakes below, not only for their wonderful design by Caitlin Sainio, but also for the fact that they brighten up the place.

Before this turns into 1 big advert (!)... the troughs mainly include that thing I know nothing about... marketing! This will be well-known to those of you who have stuck with me a long time. It never ceases to amaze me how many creatives are out there. We are all vying for the same attention, the publicity and the sales. All three continue to prove elusive for me, and, no doubt, plenty of others out there. There's a Facebook group/page called "Not on Amazon" where you can submit a post about your business, and hopefully "pass" the submission rules. I submitted mine the other day and as far as I'm aware, it's not made it onto the page... but today alone 5 posts have been published which makes me wonder how many of us there must be submitting posts every day! And if the group is only really frequented by those of us making, not those who are browsing and buying. The grapevine tells me it works for some... what are they doing to standout? Answers on a postcard please!
