A big hello to you! Thank you for clicking the link and/or finding this blog post. I've been slightly absent from the online world, but certainly not the crafting life.
My beautiful friend B got married recently, and she kindly asked if I could crochet a few roses to sit on the top table. It was my honour and pleasure to do this! Like the vase? Quite unusual, and yes, that is a sticker of a heart (an actual heart!) you can see ☺️♥️
John Lewis have provided me with yet another yarn bargain. Here is a delicious, high quality alpaca and cotton blend by Rowan, usually £6.55 per 25g ball but reduced to clear in JL for £3 each. I took all 5 remaining hehe.
I've not worked with this yarn blend before, and I want to look up what knitting or crochet project would suit it. It might still be too warm to start working with it. The UK has recorded its highest temperatures since records began in the last week or so, it has been rather sweaty and uncomfortable...
...But not too hot to make a few more rose brooches! I haven't sewed them up yet. You may recognise the yarn... It's the mulberry silk yarn from a few posts back. I'm personally not sure of the colours of some of them, but there must be someone out there who will like them.
Lastly, some exciting news! I received an email the other day from a lady who works for a charity. The charity are holding a family fun day on 28th August at a church hall in Llandaff, Cardiff and they've asked if I'd be able to participate with a stall 😊 I've said yes.
Until next time, thank you for reading,
Lingling xx
